MODERN SLAVERY ACT

Last updated: 25/08/2026

1. Purpose of this statement

This statement sets out the steps SCONNECT CO., LTD ("Sconnect", "WOA") takes to make sure that slavery, forced labour, child labour and human trafficking have no place in our business or in our supply chains. It is published for the benefit of our international partners and reflects the expectations of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and comparable legislation.

2. Our organisation

Sconnect is a Vietnam-headquartered company founded in 2014. WOA Network, our animation and digital content division, has grown steadily worldwide since then. We employ more than 1,000 people, working under one mission: "Foster connections for values across the world."

Our three core business areas are online content production and publishing, management services for online creators, and online game programming and publishing. We also operate career training, an edutainment centre, commercial products, copyright sales, and content and character licensing.

3. Our supply chains

Because our work is creative and digital, the great majority of it is carried out by our own employees at our own studios. Our external relationships fall into a small number of categories:

  • freelance and contract creative talent — writers, illustrators, animators, voice actors, composers;
  • outsourced animation and post-production studios;
  • technology and cloud service providers;
  • suppliers of merchandise and printed materials for licensed products;
  • professional services such as legal, accounting and marketing.

We consider the highest residual risk to sit with merchandise manufacturing and with subcontracted production studios, since those are the points furthest from our direct oversight.

4. Our policies

We do not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chain. Specifically:

  • every employee works under a written contract that complies with the Labour Code of Vietnam;
  • wages meet or exceed the applicable legal minimum and are paid on time;
  • working hours and rest periods follow legal limits;
  • we verify age at recruitment and do not employ anyone below the legal working age;
  • employment is freely chosen — nobody is required to lodge identity documents or deposits, and anyone may resign on the notice their contract provides;
  • recruitment fees are never charged to candidates.

5. Due diligence

Our approach to suppliers and partners is to:

  • assess labour-practice risk before engaging a new supplier, weighted by sector and country;
  • include contractual terms requiring compliance with applicable labour law and prohibiting forced and child labour;
  • reserve the right to request evidence of compliance, and to end the relationship where a supplier will not remedy a problem;
  • give greater scrutiny to manufacturing and outsourced production partners.

6. Raising a concern

Anyone — employee, contractor, supplier or member of the public — may report a concern about labour practices in our business or supply chain to [email protected]. Reports are treated confidentially and investigated. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

7. Training and awareness

Colleagues responsible for recruitment, procurement and partner management are briefed on the risks described here and on how to escalate a concern.

8. Review

This statement is reviewed annually and updated as our business and supply chains change.
