“Best Animated Films” category - Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards 2023

To encourage organizations and individuals to participate in producing and exploiting animated content, VCA 2023 organizers have reserved special rewards for the Best Animated Film category.

The animated production market in the Asia-Pacific region has the leading growth rate worldwide. In particular, Vietnam is rapidly developing in the field of producing animated content for release on digital platforms. To encourage organizations and individuals to participate in the field of producing and exploiting animated content on the Internet platform, VCA 2023 organizers have reserved special rewards for the Best Animated Film category.

The Best Animated Films category is the only category among the 7 categories of VCA 2023 that has 3 separate awards:

🏆 Best Animated Work: Awarded to complete animation works.

🏆 Best Script: Awarded for the best content scripts, potential for production and business exploitation.

🏆 Best Character Design: Awarded to unique cartoon character designs that have the potential to be developed into products, put into production and exploited for business.

The Best Animated Films category has 3 separate awards

PRIZES INCLUDE:

▶︎ In addition, the winner of “Best Screenplay” and “Best Character Design” also receive a special cash reward given by Sponsor Sconnect (the value of this special reward will be revealed in the next few days).

JUDGING CRITERIA: 

▶︎ The Jury will select and award awards to animated films with content that combines entertainment and educational elements, spreading good values to the community.

▶︎ Encourage works that demonstrate creative capacity, cultural and artistic elements, and application of advanced technology in production and business.

REGULATIONS ON CONTENT OF CONTEST WORKS

● Language of expression: Vietnamese or English (additional Vietnamese or English subtitles are required for languages other than the above two languages).

● Movie genre: 2D, 3D, Live action, Stop Motion.

● The film has not won awards at other awards and does not violate the Cinema Law and Press Law provisions.

● With 2 Awards: Best Screenplay and Best Character Design, the submitted work has not been used or exploited to develop into a complete film/video work.

Regulations on content of contest works

● Digital content works participating in the award are published on international and domestic digital platforms.

● Duration: Minimum length 3 minutes, maximum length less than 40 minutes (including introduction and final information).

● Release period: from July 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023

● Projection format of the movie:

- DCP standard 2K, 4K

- Full HD, HD

- MP4 - H264l 

Regulations on content of contest works

Candidates for this category are unlimited, from professional content creators to amateurs. Each author or group can enter many categories, and there is no limit to the number of entries.
