The announcement and launching ceremony: Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards - VCA 2023

On September 12, 2023, Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards (VCA 2023) was officially announced to be organized for the first time by Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA). The award aims to honor outstanding digital content authors and creations and recognizes exemplary individuals contributing to the development of the digital content creation industry.

The scene of the meeting

In recent years, content creation has become a multi-trillion-dollar industry globally. In Vietnam, 2022 data shows that at least 20,000 employees are operating in the content creation field, with a revenue of up to 800 million USD.

Therefore, VCA 2023 was established to encourage the digital content creation community to create high-quality content products with profound cultural and educational value, bringing good value to domestic and international users, contributing to the development of Vietnam's digital content industry, film industry, cultural industry, and the country's digital economy as well. The award will be organized annually, chaired by VDCA and assigned to the Digital Content Creation Alliance (DCCA).

In the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Chairman of VDCA, said: "VCA 2023 is organized to promote the spirit of work and dedication of organizations and individuals. We promote and encourage innovation and creativity to develop many Vietnamese digital content products to reach out globally, contributing to making Vietnam a country with a strongly developed digital content industry."

According to the initially announced information about the award, applications will be voted in two rounds, Preliminary and Final, awarding two groups across seven categories:

Group 1: Awards for Outstanding Digital Content Works/Products

• Category 1: Outstanding Short Films

• Category 2: Outstanding Animation Films

• Category 3: Outstanding Advertising Films

• Category 4: Outstanding Educational Content Products

Group 2: Awards for Businesses, Organizations, and Individuals

• Category 5: Outstanding Digital Content Creators

• Category 6: Community-Oriented Digital Content Creators

• Category 7: Promising Digital Content Creators

The winner will receive a Certificate and a Commemorative Cup from VDCA. In particular, the award for the Outstanding Animation Film will come with an additional cash prize sponsored by Sconnect.

▶︎ The award ceremony is scheduled to take place at the end of December 2023 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
